- I attend a Baptist church in my small town. The pastor generally preaches well and in typical pastor fashion has studied a bit of Hebrew and that sort of thing. This year he has been pushing to celebrate a few of the Jewish festivals and holidays. Shavout, a “Messianic Jewish” Passover (instead of just having an actual Lord’s supper, which you basically never get with Baptists) which involved lots of weird reciting and other things. I’m tempted to approach him about this but suspect it won’t be taken well obviously. There is a local Lutheran church I’ve been tempted to check out, very small congregation. Your recent comments on a lot of the confessions specifying the 66 books, Masoretic text etc, have been very thought provoking here and I’m looking at getting a book of concord I saw recently on X that had context/commentary
