I am a programmer. Thankfully I am in a situation where I feel secure in my current job, but I have recently started wondering what to expect in the future. I worry that depending on how things progress “politically”, my skills may not end up particularly useful. I have not been working long enough to really build up anything tangible.
Do you have any advice for men like me who wonder about career longevity and are considering alternate or supplemental routes of building wealth for the future, and for my future descendants? For example, I’ve considered building my own app(s) but I’d hate to produce more slop for the world.
