Dating advice for young men

I would like you to give some practical advice on dating to follow up on what you said in A Young Man’s Life.
Once you get a barista’s or cashier’s number, how do you proceed not knowing the girl’s spiritual and moral state?
Growing up, I was taught that you should never even consider going on a date with a girl unless you knew she was a Christian. I’ve come to see that this approach will not work for many men in my generation (Zoomer), but my family’s expectations have not changed, particularly my mother’s. I live in the same town as my parents and see them regularly. How do I honor them in this situation?

I think a lot of times, you can tell just from conversation and looking at her. Tattoos and piercings other than regular earlobe ones usually give away that she is not decent. The kind of car she drives can be a give away too, like a Jeep Wrangler. Her hobbies can be a sign as well. Spending time in the gym to become a “muscle mommy” is a sign that she despises her femininity.

The conversation can usually turn to deciphering her spiritual state when you mention that you attend church at least weekly. You can ask small questions to get a sense for where she is.
