Topic Suggestion/Request:
(should match post title)
Do you have any thoughts on this summer’s LCMS election for Archbishop? Could the right candidate change the course of the denomination for the better? I imagine it would be counterproductive for someone with your notoriety to publicly endorse a candidate, but would you say there are any men on the ballot with the potential to bring real positive change at a synodical level? https://witness.lcms.org/2026/a-qa-with-the-lcms-presidential-candidates/?brid=YWdncwFIZ9CVMHWHnBDd104TchGA
Reasoning:
(why should this be covered)
I care about the direction of the LCMS Church body, and it feels as though there are faithful holdouts amongst a confused and misguided general population. There are obvious issues with leadership, especially at the synodical level. Do you foresee a hopeful future or are we realistically past the point of no return?
