What is your opinion of Hastings Day? Love the period of King Alfred and the conversion of Danes and Vikings. Do you believe that England truly started after Hastings Day in 1066?
I know our language was formed, Shakespeare too due to blending of French and English .
My daughter’s school celebrates this school as a day of western civilization triumph but can be confusing to us nationalists who believe invasion and blending a dilution and a curse.
