Protoevangelium in Septuagint

Topic Suggestion/Request:
How should we read the protoevangelium as it is written in the Septuagint? The Greek in the LXX seems to translate to “watch against”, as opposed to “bruise” or “strike”, which is used in the MT. However, “watch against” does not seem as active or violent as “bruise” or “strike”, which seems to go against the other changes the Jews made in the MT.
