Revelation 3:20 and Monergism
Reasoning:
(why should this be covered)
How does Revelation 3:20 agree with the doctrine of monergism? Christ says that if anyone hears His voice and opens the door, He will come in and eat with him.
How can someone not yet regenerated by the Holy Spirit open the door? Wouldn’t that be our work? Since we are dead in our sins before regeneration, we cannot open any spiritual doors.
Please explain.
