Taking The Demonic Seriously

How do we get Christians to stop calling the demonic, and those who engage with the demonic, “crazy” or “stupid,” and instead get them to recognize the evil of the demonic? Is it an overreaction to constantly be correcting people on this? Example: someone getting a tattoo of a symbol like a pentagram, and not necessarily knowing the meaning of said symbol.
