(should match post title) Advice for a future Lutheran pastor
Reasoning:
(why should this be covered)
Hello Corey,
I have been following you, Woe, & Stone Choir for a few years now. I am a zoomer entering a path where I am eventually going to a(n) (undisclosed) Lutheran seminary. I have listened to almost the entirety of SC & I believe it wholeheartedly. I have asked you questions before on various livestreams that you have done, & I am wondering specifically what should be the path for those who are going to become Lutheran pastors in already established denominations? I know eventually a new church body will be formed of the faithful, but what approach should those like myself, going into seminary & eventually becoming ordained in an established Lutheran denomination be? How should my ministry approach be? I have considered using topics covered in episodes of SC for sermons. I also want to make an effort to talk more directly, one on one, to my congregants.
I recognize that God has bestowed certain abilities & circumstances to allow me to further God’s kingdom through pastoral ministry but am still a young man. I desperately wish to not falter in my ministry for I know that teachers have the stricter judgment. I seek to be a Godly & faithful shepherd in the light of the faithless & anti-Christ clergy of our time.
